It is very important to keep your paddock areas dry and with proper rock coverage. If your paddock is properly maintained, your horses won’t mind spending some time there. A proper dry lot option will also help maintain the health of your pastures by having another area for your horse.
We start by correcting any drainage issues, then grade, level, and prep the paddock base. We then install a geo-textile fabric. This stabilizes the soil, prevents silt from working its way into your rock surface, and improves the compaction of the site. The fabric is topped off with 3/8” minus crushed limestone rock.
